Golden Dayz Zine

D.I.Y. Art Zine with work from Josh Oceguera, Shane Hammer, Tyler Rexeisen, and myself. Features works in paint marker, wax pencil, colored pencil, ink, and charcoal. “Golden Dayz'“ a subjective look into the life of a skateboarder and surfer, with some street art flavor. A favorite of mine are scans from drawings on the back of Carls Jr. feedback questionnaires that they used to leave out. We would draw on them during night long, after skate hangouts fueled by a single, refillable Dr. Pepper cup.

Unknwon Vol 3. Peak Performance

The third photo book in my collection. Features articles such as “How to Score”, “Battle Scars are Cooler than a Hot Coat”, and “7 Reasons You’re Not Cool for Longboarding”. It’s a love letter to performance surfing and giving it all you have in the water. As people flock to the ocean on midlengths, it’s a nice reminder that performance surfing is really, really hard and still important for the surf community. Core surfing can be a secret world at times that I wanted offer a more welcoming atmosphere into.

Unknown Vol. 2 Waves From The Near PAst

The second photobook in my collection. This book is esoteric and geared towards the mystery of the ocean and the strangeness of surfing. The only text is a poem I wrote about the transient nature of waves, and life. This book comes from a time in my life when I rejected contest surfing and fully got on board with the alternative surf craft movement that took the surf world by storm. Lot’s of single fins, noserides, fish, and finless in this one.

Unknown Vol. 1 Skateboarding Without a Name

My first book. Features a piece on BROKENUGLY, my first full length skateboard movie and how I felt during that process when no one knows who you are and it feels like anything is possible. Has two other features with good friends Jeff Tyo and Santana Saldana, comparing and contrasting their different approaches to skateboarding and why I enjoyed shooting them so much.
